“Sin novedad en el frente”  (Im Westen nichts Neues) se convierte en la más nominada y favorita de los BAFTA, en su edición número 76. Entregados por la Academia Británica de las Artes Cinematográficas y de la Televisión.

El film de Edward Berger, de Alemania, cuenta con 14 nominaciones que incluyen Mejor Película, Mejor Director, Mejor Película en idioma no inglés y Guion Adaptado. Seguida por “The Banshees of Inisherin” y “Everything Everywhere All At Once” que cuentan con 10.

Llama la atención que la película “Elvis” de Baz Luhrman obtiene nueve nominaciones, aunque solo una en las categorías mayores. Mejor Actor para Austin Butler.

Por otro lado, en las malas noticias, “Bardo” de Alejandro González Iñárritu y “RRR” quedaron fueran de la lista final de Mejor Película de habla no inglesa. Pero la buena noticia es que Guillermo del Toro se impone como el favorito en Mejor Película Animada con Pinocho.

Otras películas con cuatro nominaciones son “Aftersun”, “The Batman”, “Good Luck to You, Leo Grande”, “Top Gun: Maverick” y “The Whale”.

Los premios BAFTA 2023, serán presentados por Richard E. Grant y se llevarán a cabo el próximo 19 de febrero en el Royal Festival Hall, en el centro de Southbank, en Londres.
