Johnny Deep, Tom Waits, Keith Richards y Michael Stipe participan en “Son of Rogue’s Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs and Chanteys”

En 2006, el actor Johnny Depp; el director de la saga “Pirates of the Caribbean”, Gore Verbinski y el productor Hal Willner solicitaron a Bryan Ferry, Lou Reed, Nick Cave, Bono y Van Dyke Parks que grabaran covers de canciones de piratas y marineros para el álbum “Rogue’s Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs & Chanteys”.
A casi 6 años de disco trabajo, Willner, Depp y Verbinski han vuelto a unirse para dar forma a la secuela de aquel proyecto, que lleva por nombre, “Son of Rogue’s Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs and Chanteys”, el cual llegará a los estantes de las tiendas el próximo el 19 de febrero.
En dos CDs se incluyen grabaciones de Tom Waits con Keith Richards (The Rolling Stones), Patti Smith con Johnny Depp, Courtney Love con Michael Stipe (R.E.M.), Iggy Pop con A Hawk and a Hacksaw, Nick Cave con Warren Ellis, Broken Social Scene, entre otros.
